After a hiatus due to Covid-19 coronavirus, Ikebukuro’s classical concert series Tokyo Music Evening Yube has resumed performing to a live audience at Global Ring.
The third showcase from the Tokyo Music Evening Yube series will feature ‘An Opera That’s 10 Times The Fun by Hiroshi Aoshima’. Expect a stellar lineup including composer Hiroshi Aoshima, soprano singer Mina Yokoyama, tenor singer Tsutomu Ono and many more. Unlike your usual opera, this spirited rendition is suitable for children as Aoshima will be incorporating some playful skits into the performance.
Hiroshi Aoshima has composed over 200 songs, produced countless events and concerts, and even appeared on television multiple times after completing his masters at one of Japan’s most prestigious art schools, the Tokyo University of the Arts.
‘An Opera That’s 10 Times The Fun’ will feature songs from the Italian opera ‘La traviata’ as well as the hits ‘La donna è mobile’ from ‘Rigoletto’ and ‘Nessun dorma’ from ‘Turandot’.
