One of Tokyo’s long-running outdoor music parties, Summer Sounds is celebrating its 15th anniversary in Ginza this August. This is a good time to enjoy the warm summer weather along with top notch dance music.
Over the years, Summer Sounds has taken place at some unexpected locations including skate parks, embassies and even Michelin-starred restaurants. This year, the party will be held at The Mint Ginza Rooftop on the 11th floor of the Tokyu Plaza Ginza building. The rooftop’s spectacular view of the Ginza skyline certainly makes for a scenic backdrop to this lively event.
Headlining the party is Tokyo-based singer-songwriter, DJ and producer Maika Loubté. With roots in Japan, Paris and Hong Kong, Maika is known for her electronic beats utilising vintage analog synthesisers. The event also features Tokyo-based producer and DJ Sapphire Slows.
