Formed in 2019, Zaon is a sextet focusing on traditional Japanese melodies spiced up with modern pop sound. The band is made up of keyboardist and composer Jun Abe – the leader of the band – plus koto (Japanese zither) player Mana Yoshinaga, shakuhachi flautist Kenichi Tajima, saxophonist Ami Nakazono, drummer Senri Kawaguchi and bassist Shingo Tanaka. This live performance celebrates the release of the band’s first album ‘Zaon’, which will be released on April 15.
The show takes place twice a day on April 20 from 4.45pm and 7.30pm. Tickets have to be purchased in advance.
