Brothers Shuya and Yoshihiro Okino are Kyoto Jazz Massive, the fusion-electronica DJ duo who have been spinning for a good two decades now. Even if you haven't been clubbing much in Japan over that time, you've probably heard their stuff somewhere: Gilles Peterson is a fan, and Germany's Compost Records have been supporting them since the early 2000s. Celebrating 20 years in the biz, the Okinos have now put together an actual jazz band, composed of up-and-coming domestic talent, and recently released a full album. Anyone even the least interested in jazz will want to catch this gig, played together with saxophonist Naruyoshi Kikuchi.
