Bill Laswell presents Tokyo Rotation

Barely a couple of months since he last visited town, Bill Laswell is back again. Of course, things were rather different when he played here in early March, and the bassist's latest trip is explicitly intended to drum up money for quake relief efforts up north. Laswell will be enlisting the talents of DJ Krush and trumpeter Toshinori Kondo – both currently members of his genre-hopping group Method of Defiance – and drummer Hideo Yamaki for a night of fluid improvisation and hardcore fundraising. It's the second in WWW's #restart event series, the first of which raised over ¥1.3 million in late March, and they're taking a collection for the Japanese Red Cross Society on the door in lieu of a ticket charge.
