Time Out says

The road to equality for the LGBTQ community in Japan is a long one, but with an increasing number of advocates joining efforts to improve conditions for LGBT minorities, the country is finally starting to see real progress. This online event, hosted by Lawyers for LGBT and Allies Network, is open to anyone who seeks to better understand the current conditions for LGBT minorities in Japan.

The event is co-sponsored by Robert Walters Japan and Shibuya City  the first city in Japan to recognise same-sex partnerships  and will be Hosted by the Shibuya Gender Diversity and Equality Center IRIS at Shibuya Cultural Center Owada.

Though the seminar has reached maximum capacity for in-person attendance, you can still watch the live-stream for free on YouTube from 6pm on Saturday November 14.

The seminar will be led by a panel of lawyers who will cover topics including LGBT workplace issues, immigration for same sex couples in Japan as well as problems specific to transgender individuals. The experts will provide up-to-date details on the current LGBT rights in Japan as well as their insight on the next steps forward, including the ongoing fight for same sex marriage in Japan.
