Hatagaya’s addition to the Sakura Hotel family is popular with businesspeople, presumably because it's just a three-minute train ride from the bright lights of Shinjuku. As with its siblings, this budget-priced hotel has bilingual staff and a 24-hour café where sociable types can mingle, though the lack of dorms or communal bathrooms means that it feels less like a backpacker's hostel. Rooms start from ¥6,930 for a single and ¥9,000 for a double, including towels, toiletries and free internet (you'll have to go downstairs to get WiFi). The ¥350 breakfast is pretty basic, but includes free refills of bread, soup and coffee.
