The colourful new Toggle Hotel recently opened in Suidobashi and is the perfect place to recharge for a weekend staycation or even a weekday workcation. During your stay, you can enjoy breakfast and coffee as you gaze out over the city skyline from the café and lounge located on the hotel’s top floor. The hotel is also located just minutes from the Kanda River, so you can enjoy a stroll if you’re in need of some fresh air.

This new art hotel in Nihonbashi is a wonderful spot if you’re in need of some creative inspiration. You can have your pick from one of 26 rooms which all feature unique designs by 23 different local emerging artists. There's also a lobby bar, which doubles as a cool hangout spot and serves up CBD-infused lassi, seasonal sake and also non-alcoholic cocktails. While you're there, be sure to check out the massive 6m-tall mural that runs all the way down to the basement.

Located in a revamped 1920s bank, K5 is more than just a cool boutique hotel. During your stay, you can take advantage of the airy café and restaurant space on the first floor which is home to Caveman – an all-day eatery run by the folks behind Tokyo’s Kabi – as well as Switch Coffee.

There’s also an underground beer joint and a slick library cocktail bar, where you can enjoy a drink or two. The hotel is in Kabutocho, recently named Tokyo’s coolest neighbourhood, so there’s no shortage of food and drink options nearby.

The new Mustard Hotel in the always cool Shimokitazawa is surrounded by numerous trendy shops, restaurants and cafés including the new Reload Shimokitazawa complex. Officially open on September 16, the new hotel features an outpost of Sidewalk Coffee Roasters and shochu bar Kurage. All guest rooms also come with a record player – there’s a vinyl shop in the lobby you can borrow records from for free.

Tokyo Marriott Hotel Dog Friendly Stay

There aren’t a whole lot of pet-friendly hotels out there, but the Tokyo Marriott Hotel in Shinagawa is dog-friendly, and the hotel is now offering a plan especially for you and your furry friend. 

For the staycation, the hotel has prepared a spacious deluxe room fitted with crates for dogs and other canine amenities. There's also a Japanese garden adjacent to the hotel where you can enjoy a stroll and some fresh air with your dog. The plan comes with in-room breakfast, so you don't have to leave your pup alone, as well as a few snacks for them to enjoy while you dine.

The Westin Tokyo: Stay with Lovot

Have a family-friendly staycation at The Westin Tokyo, where you can stay in a room with a cuddly Lovot robot. During your stay, your entire room will be decked out with Lovot amenities including original Lovot bathrobes and kids’ pajamas, plus Lovot-themed postcards, cookies and macarons. The Kimpton Shinjuku is offering a book lover’s dream staycation with a special book club plan.
