The UNHCR is hosting a film festival to create awareness around the struggles of refugees across the world. As the title ‘Will2Live’ suggests, the films feature real-life narratives where people held hope and not lose the will to live despite the hardships and trying circumstances.
The festival is screening seven films including ‘Midnight Traveller’, a compelling documentary by Afghan filmmaker Hassan Fazili, who documented on his phone his escape from Afghanistan after being targeted by the Taliban, as well as ‘Salam Neighbor’ which captures the life at a refugee camp in Jordan. Free tickets to each screening will be handed out, so arrive 45 minutes before screening starts to guarantee a spot. Venues vary depending on the film and they are listed on the website.
