Tokyo's comedy network Stand Up Tokyo steps into some bold territory once a month: stand-up comedy in Japanese. Hosted by BJ Fox, the star and writer of NHK's first sitcom 'Home Sweet Tokyo', the show also features other performers hailed from the US and the Netherlands. While you could say that foreigners often make a fool of themselves in Japanese, this event is sure to be the funniest and highest-quality version of that. The comedy network Stand Up Tokyo is well-known for its weekly open mics at Shimokitazawa's Good Heavens Comedy Club, while this newer event aims to blur the divide between the gaijin and Japanese comedy scenes in one riotous international night.
