Another week of Tokyo Rainbow Pride is in the books, and it sure was a party to remember: more than 4,500 revellers took to the streets of Shibuya for the Pride parade last Sunday, while a whopping 70,000 visited the associated weekend festival in Yoyogi Park. In terms of both numbers and atmosphere, this was by far the most successful Rainbow Pride since the event became an annual affair back in 2012, with the diversity of the participants markedly greater than a few years ago.
