This sister shop of Belgian beer specialists Bourgondische Hemel is as much about grapes as grain. At Hemel Hiyamasu – which sits right next to Shibuya's main post office, on the Aoyama side of the station – the selection of bottled beer is complemented by an extensive list of European and New World wines, with bottles starting from ¥2,400. You'll need some hearty food to soak up all of that alcohol, of course, and the menu delivers with housemade sausages, bacon and pates, beer-steamed mussels and some remarkably good frites (available with paprika or celery mayonnaise, if you want to do things properly). Open until 3am year-round, Hemel Miyamasu is a handy option the next time you find yourself stranded in Shibuya with nowhere to go – and especially if you're craving something meaty.
