Far Yeast Brewing from Kosuge Village in Yamanashi prefecture is one of Japan’s leading craft beer companies – you can even find its brews in supermarkets now. The brand’s first brewpub recently moved fromShibuya to Gotanda and now boasts an outdoor terrace and space for over 100 people.
There are 20 taps here that include classics like the signature Far Yeast and Kagua series, plus a few unique local and international beers. The menu maily features grilled foods that pair well with beer, from simple grilled herb chicken (¥1,400) and pork shoulder (¥1,600) to more premium dishes like the Ozaki beef (¥3,700 per 150g), a type of wagyu known for its melt-in-the-mouth texture. You’ll also find other staple dishes such as pizzas (from ¥1,300), fried chicken (¥400) and a range of charcuterie boards (from ¥900).
