Musashi-Murayama city out in the western suburbs goes a little colourful every July and August, which is when this field's 500,000 sunflowers burst into bloom. And if you miss that spectacle, there's always the nanohana rapeseed bloom in April. The only problem is getting there: you'll need to either walk for around ten minutes from Kamikitadai Station on the Tama Monorail or take a bus from Tachikawa.
