Shibamata Taishakuten

Shibamata's most famous structure has watched over the neighbourhood for well over 300 years now, and this grand temple is still one of the Katsushika area's finest sights. In addition to the building itself, highlights include the Suikeien garden, a sculpture gallery and the kusa dango outlets in front of the main gate – which served as inspiration for Tora-san's shop in Yoji Yamada's classic movie series Otoko wa Tsurai yo.
