The Potentiality of Drawing

In this exhibition, The Museum of Contemporary Art, Tokyo is re-examining the potential that drawing has for communicating different kinds of expression. In the current digital age, drawing on paper is becoming increasingly rare, but hand drawings show developing thoughts that the artist has as they waver and occasionally break off, giving a raw and authentic insight to their process. Featured artists include Henri Matisse, Yayoi Kusama and Yasugi Yamabe, whose works beautifully convey a forgotten language of visual arts.
