See a range of prints created by Taro Okamoto, an avant-garde 20th century artist famous for his abstract paintings and sculptures, at this show. The exhibition includes all different kinds of printed art –you'll see lithographic prints and etchings as well as screen and woodblock prints.
Motivated on the belief that art is an absolute necessity for everyone, Okamoto created artworks in every genre, from the 70-metre-tall Tower of the Sun to tiny necktie pins. In creating the print works on display, he was trying to make art more accessible to everyone and turn it into an everyday part of people’s lives.
