Taro Izumi, born in 1976, is a renowned Japanese artist recognised for his thought-provoking installations, encompassing video, performance art, painting, and sculpture. He has gained recognition both in Japan and abroad, exhibiting his work in prestigious cities like Paris at the Palais de Tokyo in 2017 and Basel, Switzerland, at the Ex Museum in 2020.

With a wide range of large-scale exhibits, visitors can delve into Izumi's unique perspective on themes such as life, death, nature and 'the unknown'. Highlights include his immersive 'Cloud' installation constructed with pencil graphite and eraser scraps and an experiential piece that harnesses VR technology.
