A fourth-generation photographer, Nagano-born Shintaro Shiratori earns his bread as an advertisement snapper but is best known for 1999 portrait series 'Kao'. This 120-piece photo book featured everyone from Taro Okamoto to musician Eikichi Yazawa and 'Mr Baseball' Shigeo Nagashima, and catapulted Shiratori into the mainstream consciousness. Now, after 17 years, 'Kao' is getting a sequel: see all of its 100 portraits at Ginza's Wako, where you'll come face to face with the likes of 'Beat' Takeshi Kitano, rakugo comedian Sanyutei Enraku and actress Mari Natsuki.
