There’s always something exciting for art lovers at the Shibuya Parco complex, which is chock full of event spaces and galleries that host a fresh set of exhibitions every month. The programme for these next few days is particularly packed with exhibitions and other art-related events as it is Shibuya Parco Art Week, a ten-day-long event that involves 24 different lots within the complex.
Gallery shows that charge admission fees include a VR solo exhibition (¥1,500) by British contemporary artist Julian Opie, as well as a photography exhibition (¥600) by Japanese photographer Shigeo Gocho. Meanwhile, retail spaces like the Discover Japan Lab, Bait and even Starbucks will be doubling up as showrooms to host a set of free pop-up exhibitions by up-and-coming artists and craftsmen.
