Since opening in 1986 in the northeast corner of Kinuta Park, Setagaya Art Museum has accumulated approximately 10,000 works of art. The majority of this collection consists of works attributed to artists from, or in some way connected to, Setagaya ward. Included are some striking pieces by the famous calligrapher, ceramicist and gastronome Kitaoji Rosanjin. In addition to its various displays, the art museum also a number of additional facilities, including a library, a restaurant and a museum shop.
