The man behind the iconic posters for the 1964 Tokyo Olympics and Osaka's 1970 world's fair, Yusaku Kamekura (1915-1997) left an indelible mark on the Japanese design world. An award named after him, presented annually by the Japan Graphic Designers Association, is considered the most prestigious in the industry, and the Niigata native has also been recognised as a pioneer on the international stage. Look back at Kamekura's career through his most memorable posters at Ginza's Noevir gallery, where this two-part exhibition (September 4-30 and October 2-November 2) sees them all assembled in one place.
