Demolished 22 years ago, Hong Kong's Kowloon Walled City is one of the most infamous and unique landmarks in the city’s history, known for its lawlessness, unfathomable architecture and as the most densely populated place in the world. Look back at its mystery and the lives of its almost 40,000 residents through Ryuji Miyamoto's photos at this Shinagawa exhibition. Consisting of 50 representative shots, the display offers a rare look at a virtually unplanned community that fostered not only crime and claustrophobia but also enduring bonds among its people and interest from architecture and sociology buffs the world over.
