Kosei Komatsu is a Japanese artist who is known for his contemporary installations that take different shapes according to the surrounding environment. In his latest solo exhibition, the artist presents a new exploration of the unity between mobile art and nature in the exhibition at Den-en-chofu Seseragi Park.
Highlights include mobiles constructed of artificial feathers that represent the fine movements of air, subtly merging with the forest's existing environment. Installed throughout the forest, these mobiles playfully interact with the wind, much like weathercocks, and diffuse the sparkle of sunlight in a striking spectacle. These mobile landscapes not only provide an interactive art experience for visitors as they stroll along the promenade but also serve as a unique medium for rekindling an appreciation for natural beauty.
