This exhibition curated by Nanzuka Gallery diverges from traditional Japanese fine art consisting of calligraphy and ceramics, and instead focuses on avant-garde pieces that have only recently started to gain global acclaim. There are 21 local and overseas artists who are featured including Haroshi, Joyce Pensato and Peter Saul. The exhibition is also showcasing work by Hajime Sorayama, whose seven-metre tall ‘sexy robot’ has been installed in the outdoor plaza of Shibuya Parco. Anyone who gets a ticket to the exhibition is eligible to enter a lottery for a smaller model of the chrome android, though it'll set you back ¥165,000 if you win.
