Georgie Ichikawa, best known as the Head of Creative and Design at Puma Japan, is hosting his inaugural solo exhibition as an artist this March. Ichikawa has had an impressive career in fashion: he was the head designer for the Puma x Alexander McQueen collaboration back in 2007 and he also has his own label. Ichikawa is a firm supporter of social initiatives and he has contributed to efforts in raising LGBTQ+ awareness in Japan.
Titled ‘Love’, this whimsical exhibition pulls together 120 pieces of work. They all feature Ichikawa's playful unicorn-inspired character expressed through a variety of artistic techniques ranging from 3D printing to indigo dyeing. In conjunction with the exhibition, Ichikawa also released the podcast 'Love Chat with Georgie', which explores various themes of love. You can listen to the podcast here.
