Edo-era monk Enku took to carving wooden statues of Buddha in the course of his travels around Japan, producing a staggering 120,000 during his life. This exhibition showcases a mere hundred such figures, including over 60 that Enku made while staying at Senkoji Temple in Gifu Prefecture as an old man.
