Immerse yourself in a captivating world of art at a soon-to-be-demolished apartment building. Yeah, you heard that right: over two weeks, a 10-storey condo complex slated to be torn down in February is being given a new life (albeit briefly) as an immersive art gallery.
Taking over the building with 50 apartments, this unique exhibition showcases a diverse collection of works by emerging and established artists such as Emi Kusano, Alligator Jesus, Espo, Oto, Kenji Yanobe, the Mallary Archive and more. Moreover, the building’s hallways and common areas are given a makeover by Amanda Hagy, an award-winning Hollywood scenic artist who has produced background art for movies such as Joker, West Side Story and John Wick Chapter 3. Don’t forget to check out all of the floors, as each one is decorated with different themes, ranging from ‘Dekotora’ to Cyberpunk.
Be sure to purchase a ticket in advance online, as they won’t be selling them on-site.
