Time Out says

Opened in 1899, Casa Guinart reinvented itself a few years ago and is now one of the most well-respected restaurants serving Catalan cuisine in Barcelona. Located between La Rambla and the Boqueria Market, this establishment is highly popular among vendors as well as locals and visitors. David Moya and chef Òscar Manresa, a connoisseur of the Boqueria, bring their best produce and unique vision of Catalan cuisine to the Time Out Market.

In this case, Manresa has focused on the most popular and flavourful dishes from the Catalan culinary tradition. Using the monumental cookbook Corpus Culinari de la Cuina Catalana as his foundation, Manresa applies his hedonistic touch to the premium produce of Barcelona’s main market, delighting diners with his subtle twists and creative plating. ‘La Boqueria is a bit like a big fridge for the city, and we work with what arrives fresh at the market,’ he explains. With strictly seasonal ingredients and his playful creativity, you can enjoy classics here every day of the year, such as tender veal fricandó with mushrooms or confit cod with burnt garlic.
