Time Out says

If any flower was worth travelling two hours to gaze at en masse, it’s the mighty waratah. This hot pink native prize is being celebrated with a dedicated festival at the Blue Mountains Botanic Garden Mount Tomah.

You’ll get to gaze at a sea of the NSW floral emblem, and also get involved in flower arranging workshops, tours and exhibitions. There’ll be food stalls on sight keeping everyone full and focused on getting that perfect super zoomed shot of the bold pointy petals. You can also assess the most impressive home-grown waratahs at the growers’ competition exhibit.
