There are plenty of reasons why the Central Coast is a stand-out destination for travellers. Just 90-minutes north of Sydney, this stunning region is nestled between lush forests, unforgettable beaches and curling coastlines. While it's best known for its laid-back beach towns, there’s no shortage of things to do year-round – and we’ve curated an epic to-do list just for you.

Here’s everything you should get up to this month on the Central Coast.

What to do on the Central Coast this month

Get ready for the return of Great Southern Nights, the state-wide festival bringing live music to 120 venues across New South Wales. The Central Coast will get their fill of beats from Friday, March 21 to Sunday, April 6 with so many memory-making gigs including Marcia Hines, Troy Cassar-Daley, Sarah Blasko and ARIA-nominated songstress Ngaiire coming to town. Keen? Check out the full program here.

Vegan NSW and Central Coast Council are joining forces to bring the region’s biggest plant-based festival to Leagues Park in Gosford on March 8. This free event is packed with live music, delicious vegan eats and plenty of sustainable shopping. Wander through a vibrant selection of pop-up food stalls serving up mouthwatering plant-based dishes, discover ethical and eco-friendly products and learn all about how to reduce your carbon footprint. Enjoy live performances from vegan artists Jemima and Hylif, and start your day with a free 10am yoga session led by Hayley Bell from Pearl Beach Yoga. The event is pup-friendly, so bring your furry friends along. Plus, with a nearby playground and plenty of sweet treats, the little ones are sure to have a blast. Find out more here

The Girrakool Blues Festival is back for its seventh year, bringing three epic days of live music, delicious food and good vibes. From Friday, February 28 to Sunday, March 2, The Entrance will come alive with the soulful sounds of acts including Bondi Cigars, Hussy Hicks and UK’s Steve ‘West’ Weston to name a few. Kick things off with ‘Guitar Friday’ or bring the little ones along for Family Fun Day on Sunday. Best of all? It’s completely free. Find out more here.
