This coastal reincarnation of the inner-city Pocket Bar maintains all the trimmings of its flash Sydney cousin with the bonus of being smack bang by the beach. It’s close enough to hear the waves crashing while you enjoy a cocktail at the bar or take a twirl around the dancefloor later in the night.
They’re as serious as their CBD counterparts when it comes to drinks. The extensive cocktail menu features creative numbers like their variation of a classic Negroni, which uses Mount Gay Rum to add tropical flair, along with hibiscus tea, coconut and a sprinkling of salt for the setting. On Fridays the three top-selling cocktails go for $12 until 7pm, so make sure you know the list by heart.
