With the sunny season drawing closer, this luxury pop-up camping company is unzipping its grand tent doors for another season of glamping at Coolendel on the Shoalhaven River, just three hours from Sydney. After a difficult few months as a result of the devastating 2019 bushfire season and recent lockdown restrictions, the South Coast destination is now keen to welcome visitors back to its lush, natural surrounds.
Couples and groups of up to four can book out one of twelve tents across two camping sites, each in a rustic bushland setting and kitted out with plush bedding, solar-powered lighting and luxury amenities. You can while away the days fishing, canoeing or bike riding around the region, and settle in to the communal lounge area by the campfire under a canopy of fairy lights by night – not to mention the actual constellations that’ll be visible from this secluded, light-pollution free spot. You'll need to bring your own food and drink – you're camping, after all – but all other bedding, lighting and crockery is provided.
"Following the bushfires, we were fortunate enough to see substantial rain across the region, which has led to the bushland starting to rejuvenate and come back to life, so everything is beautiful, green and lush,” said general manager Ben Hutchings. Flash Camp also has strict hygiene and safety measures in place, with bookings capped to allow for distance between guests and plenty of open space and fresh air to frolic in.
Each bell tent starts at $180 for two people, with additional costs for more guests ($70 per adult per night and $35 per child). Book online now.
