If you’ve always fancied owning a place by the beach, the Adina Apartment Hotel comes pretty close to living that dream. Fill up your fruit bowl with juicy berries from Harris Farm Markets downstairs; grab a coffee from the Nine around the corner; and pick up a bunch of native flowers from the Farmers Markets, and you’ll pass as a local in no time. But its location isn’t the only perk: each apartment is so well equipped that you could host a dinner party and pretend it’s your own address. The one bedroom apartments have a full sized oven, dishwasher, fridge, baking tins and even washing machines – should you spill tomato sauce down your dinner shirt. But the best part is that you’re not at home! This is a hotel after all, and so should you request fresh towels or a takeaway meal from Bills (also just downstairs) they’ll happily arrange all that for you. Borrow one of the hotel’s Lekker bikes, free of charge, and explore North Bondi’s eateries or sign up for a class at Let’s Go Surfing and park your bike at the shop. When saltwater is the only cure, Bondi Beach and Icebergs pool are are short walk away, and Adina has its own lap pool and spa for those too-hungover-to-leave-the-hotel days. Do drag yourself away from the Foxtel, air-con and free wireless broadband if you can, as the hotel is only minutes away from new restaurant Blanca, and old favourites Da Orazio, China Diner and A Tavola.
