With the weather heating up and daylight extending its stay, YCK Laneways is embracing the spring fever by inviting you to an epic afternoon exploring the city's best small bars. This isn't your run-of-the-mill cocktail affair though. Lights, colour and music will spread throughout the buzzing cultural precinct between Town Hall and Wynyard for Wander YCK – a self-guided cocktail tour on Saturday, October 7 from 4-6pm.
So, how does it all work? The afternoon is completely powered by you! Guests will receive four tokens, which they can redeem for four cocktails at any participating bars, plus one small bite at their starting venue. You’ll need to pick your starting point when pre-purchasing tickets but you can decide your next three venues on the night, using YCK’s online map as a trusty guide.
The hard part is picking which bars to drop by, with more than ten world-class establishments joining the fun at Wander YCK. Each venue will be mixing up exceptional cocktails made from Bacardi’s premium range including Patron Reposado, Grey Goose, Bombay Sapphire, and Bacardi Blanca.
You can cosy up with a cocktail at hidden basement bars like Burrow Bar, Esteban, Papa Gede’s, Stitch Bar, Tiva and Uncle Ming’s. If you like your cocktails with a side of music then head to Jolene’s for country or the Swinging Cat for New Orleans jazz. Then, pull up a pew at the Duke of Clarence, in the hidden alleyway at PS40, or at York Street’s award-winning gin bar, the Barber Shop.
Wander YCK will be nothing short of spectacular with stellar cocktails, innovative bar snacks and some of the best vibes in the whole damn city. All that’s left to do is fire up the group chat and get ready for a great time out on the town. Bookings are essential with tickets for $69 and can be purchased here.
