The magical confectioners at Shangri-La Sydney are putting on a wondrous Wonka-themed high tea this summer and it’s everything of your childhood dreams. Inspired by the extraordinary character at the centre of Roald Dahl's beloved children's book, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and the upcoming film Wonka (in cinemas from December 14) from Warner Bros Pictures, Wonka’s High Tea Buffet will take you on a wondrous adventure into the life of the world's greatest inventor, magician and chocolate-maker.
Indulge in all the silliness and deliciousness of double chocolate brownies with Champagne truffles and candied cherries; layered chocolate mousse cake; and savoury treats like beef Wellington pockets; and bacon butty and egg sandwiches. The wonderful world of Wonka will come to life with a decorate-your-own chocolate bar station featuring a flowing chocolate fountain.
The Wonka High Tea is running in Shangri-La Sydney’s grand ballroom over two exclusive weekends from December 9-10 and 15-17. Sessions will run from 11am-1pm or 2-4pm and adults can get tickets for $84, with tickets for children aged three to 11 priced at $64. There will also be two special adults-only sessions on December 9 and 16 from 5-7pm. Tickets are $99 and also include a signature Shangri-La beverage on arrival.
