Time Out says

It may not have the star power
of Colorado’s Hoover Dam, but Warragamba is still mightily impressive: four times the size of Sydney Harbour, it holds the majority of our water supply. It’s a top picnic spot and there are look- outs galore - you can gaze directly down at the mammoth structure and onto Lake Burragong. Take
the kids on a self-guided tour of
the dam and its surrounds (with a stop at the Workers’ Memorial that commemorates the 15 builders who died during construction between 1948 and 1960) and then explore the permanent Water for Life exhibition in the Visitor Centre.
