If you’re ready to zhuzh up your walls with a piece of real artwork, you’ve now got all the more reason to take that big step. For one night only on Thursday, March 20, Barnardos is joining forces with emerging and established artists to raise money for a good cause by throwing a mixed-media art show at the National Art School in Darlinghurst.
Enjoy live music, gourmet canapés and beverages while browsing a curated selection of donated artworks, including sculptures, photography, paintings and prints. With more than 40 participating artists – ranging from emerging talents to established names – expect pieces from Antoinette Ferwerda, Bobby Clark, Gemma O'Brien, George Hall, Ken Done, Kitiya Palaskas, Micke Lindbergh, Mike Staniford and more. If something takes your fancy, you can make a bid online in the silent auction – it opens two weeks earlier on Thursday, March 6, and closes on the night of the art show.
In line with the night's theme of ‘Horizons of Hope’, which reflects Barnardos’ commitment to providing support today to shape a brighter future, the funds raised will go towards Barnardos’ safety and prevention programs, dedicated to improving the wellbeing of children in need.
Tickets are $75 and include a $50 voucher to put towards a bid. Grab yours here.
