The Sydney Dojo (CLOSED)

Sometimes referred to as Shibari (‘to tie’) or Kinbaku (‘connection’), Japanese rope art is an ancient erotic practice that’s performed by couples in order to discover a deeper intimacy. Sydney Rope Dojo in Leichhardt is run as a place where people can connect with their partners through instructor-lead classes. The Dojo offers weekly classes focusing on the process of tying up, and on the underlying connection it is supposed to create. Shibari enthusiasts will be on hand to share tips, techniques and ideas on how to engage with the custom responsibly. Women only classes are also available.
