Time Out says

Folks of the Inner West and beyond, Marrickville Metro is throwing a two-day festival extravaganza of food, drinks, live music and local art on July 2-3, and absolutely everybody is invited. Best of all, it's absolutely free to attend.

Smidmore Street is set to come alive with the ‘Retro Metro Festival’, a retro-themed party bonanza that will feature the likes of juke-boxes, a pop-up arcade alley and roller-blading performers, with these just some of the glittering delights set to light up the Inner West this coming weekend.

On top of all the ‘80s and '90s paraphernalia, the Retro Metro Festival will have over 25 stalls on offer at the newly-minted ‘Metro Markets’, with each of them peddling a variety of artisan-made wares, including fashion, art, gourmet produce and nifty homewares. In addition to all the market stall action, there will be a whole host of free events, live music performances and interactive activities on offer, with kids getting the chance to get stuck into workshops, giveaways, a giant community art piece, and a pretty epic arcade alley.

The Retro Metro Festival will be happening from 10am to 5pm at Marrickville Metro July 2-3, and entry is totally free. You can learn more, and stay in the loop by clicking right here.
