You’ve been flung back in time to 1988 Indiana and your mystery-solving skills are required to investigate the disappearance of local residents, and what’s going on at the local shady government facility. This is the premise of the Lock In, which blends theatre, puzzles and cocktails to create a role-playing adventure similar to an escape room.
This pop-up ’80s themed experience at the Wanderer has less of a focus on code-cracking, and instead treats guests to interactive storytelling, where they can watch the show unfold or get as involved as they like. There’ll be actors playing as your aide and directing the action, and if all the puzzles are doing your head in, the Wanderer downstairs is open for dinner and drinks.
The ticket price includes the full 90-minute experience plus two cocktails to calm your nerves throughout the evening. Because of its boozy qualities, this is an experience for people over 18.
It’s proven pretty popular with the locals, so it's sticking around to attract more puzzle-solvers in Surry Hills Wednesday-Sundays at selected time slots.
