There's a reason why the Central Coast is one of NSW's most popular getaway destinations, but there's a lot more to this region than just a beautiful coastline. In fact, this month the Central Coast is exploding with engaging events, and what's even better is that most of these events are free.

Glint of Koi

Head over to the Gosford Regional Gallery this April 27 to June 9 and marvel at the free 'Glint of Koi' exhibition, which showcases signifant artworks from the Central Coast Council Art collection. The collection is a diverse array of works that tell a story of the region's changing character over the last 50 years. Reserve your free ticket here.

Sunday Funkday

Every Sunday from 2pm, Sunday Funkday at Terrigal Beach House is an afternoon of live music with a side of excellent seafood and ice cold drinks. There's also an opportunity to book a private cabana for groups of eight to twelve.

Creative Spaces

Creative Spaces is an ongoing creative residency program that gives artists the chance to showcase their work at the Gallery Container in Toukley Village Green. The Gallery Container is a converted 12 metre shipping container that regularly plays host to some of the best local and emerging artists.

From now until June 28, Grace Agnes is taking over the space with her original artworks, pet portraits and digitial designs. Agnes will also be running an extensive itinerary of exciting collaborations, art exhibitions, photography sessions, creative workshops and classes, artist talks and mini markets.

Outdoor Movie Nights

Before winter sets in, it's a good time to get the most out of autumn by attending a free outdoor movie night on the Central Coast. Bring the whole family to watch a friendly outdoor screening of Disney's Lilo & Stitch at four magical locations across the Central Coast.

Not only will this be a free screening of a heart-warming flick, but there will also be plenty of roving entertainment to enjoy too. Picture: circus performers, face painting and lawn games from 4pm, before sitting down at 6pm to watch a film under the stars. Find out more here.
