Time Out says

You may have seen Sydney’s yogis saluting the sun outside the Sydney Opera House for Sunrise on the Steps, so a gathering of calm, slowly undulating individuals won’t seem out of place when this tai chi class runs in front of the sails for the Lunar New Year.

This free one-hour beginners session will be led by the founder and president of the Australian Academy of Tai Chi, Grandmaster Gary Khor, who’ll lead the group in the fundamental tai chi forms and characteristics. The practice of tai chi, which is a Chinese martial art, is a spiritual one, bringing tranquility and peace of mind to the participant, while also providing the expected health benefits of physical activity.

The single session will take place on Saturday, February 9 at 7.30am, and you need to register to ensure yourself a spot on the Monumental Steps.
