Time Out says

Having little ones cooped up at home during the school holidays can quickly turn into chaos. Thankfully, Sydney is a magical place with plenty of things to do to keep them busy (and screen time low). This April, Bondi Pavillion is bringing a new kind of theatre show fit for kids to the seaside suburb. Sun Runners is an interactive audio play where kids can get involved in the story and let their imaginations run wild.

After its debut at Fringe World (where it won the Children’s Event Weekly Award), the imaginative activity will head to Sydney's shores where it will find a home at Yalagang Room, Bondi Pavilion for April 23, 24, 26 and 27. Created by Audioplay and children's theatre company Windmill Theatre, Sun Runners fuses play with a cinematic score to create a thrilling action-packed experience.

In groups of four, you’ll be guided on an intergalactic adventure using a set of headphones and a mobile phone in the race of your life. After crash landing on Mercury, your team's mission is to get back to the asteroid belt in time for the most daring and dangerous race in the universe: the sun run. For any kids aged six to 12 who love to spend time in imagined worlds through books, theatre or even games, this interactive show is sure to be lots of fun. Don’t worry, grown ups are welcome too.

Sun Runners is part of Bondi Pavilion’s school holiday program, which kicks off this weekend with arco and parkour workshops at Creative Planet by Legs On The Wall for ages six to 18.

Tickets are $10 (plus a booking fee) for all ages, and you can get yours here.
