Sydney’s economic landscape has undergone a series of fascinating and rapid changes over the past year. A dip in consumer confidence and a shift in spending from bricks and mortar to experience-based retail has defined our city’s economic output. Hospitality businesses in particular are seeing a wave of increased patronage on weekends. If this reflects your business journey, or not, you have a unique opportunity to help piece together the full picture of economic recovery and shape its future direction.

City of Sydney is inviting local businesses to complete their annual Business Needs Survey by October 23. Whether you’re a retailer, hospitality owner, entrepreneur, tourism operator or professional service provider, businesses from all sectors are encouraged to take part.

Since 2020, this survey has been a roadmap for informing new support initiatives such as the highly successful al fresco city program and CBD revitalisation campaign. City of Sydney is now planning how they can help your business thrive in 2024 and beyond.

They want to hear about your operational needs, priorities and challenges, and ultimately, how they can make doing business easier for you. All findings will be used as a guide for future policies, programs and funding in Sydney.

The Business Needs Survey is available to complete online until October 23. Take the survey here.
