Spring is on the horizon and with it comes the excitement of sunnier days, sprouting flowers, sunset strolls and Semillon season. Thomas Wines is celebrating with spirit and style by hosting a series of adventurous Semillon and seafood events throughout late August and early September. Immerse yourself in and on the water at one of four spectacular Semersion journeys taking place on the waters of Sydney Harbour, Newcastle and the Hawkesbury. 

Joining guests at each event is three-time Hunter Valley Winemaker of the Year, Andrew ‘Thommo’ Thomas, who will personally guide you through tastings of Thomas Wines’ nine exceptional single vineyard Semillons. 

Sydneysiders will have first access to these new-release wines as Semersion graces the shores of Sydney Harbour on Friday, August 25 and Saturday, August 26. Guests will journey in and around the premium Semillons matched with luxe seafood canapés, all while taking in spectacular views of the Andrew Boy Charlton Pool

Semersion will then voyage North to the shores of Newcastle Harbour on September 8 for an exclusive, one-off long lunch at one of the city’s latest dining hot spots, Âpé. Thommo will be joined by Chilean-born head chef, Nicolas Pedmonte, who has curated a Nikkei-inspired menu to complement Thomas Wines' 2023 Semillons. 

Dive into the ultimate on and in-water Semillon and oyster experience at Semersion Hawkesbury. Hosted on Saturday, September 9, this event offers guests a unique opportunity to don waders and learn the art of oyster shucking at Sydney Oyster Farm. A spectacular seafood lunch will follow, thoughtfully paired with the premium Semillions.
