Time Out says

We hope you’re ready because Sydney WorldPride is just around the corner. Running over three weeks, the mega celebration will see the Emerald City cloaked in rainbows, coming alive with spectacular parties, marches, and festivities. It’s the very first time the international festival will be taking place in the Southern Hemisphere, so it’s safe to say it’s a Very Big Deal.

To support Sydney WorldPride, Surry Hills’ fiery and super-cool Modern Asian restaurant Chin Chin is throwing some fabulous one-off events that you won’t want to miss – so listen up.

First up is the Paint Your Inner Queen Sip and Paint event held on Sunday, February 19, celebrating all things pride, drag and self-expression through paint. Get comfy and enjoy free-flowing prosecco, wine (semillon from the Hunter Valley; rosé from Gundagai; shiraz from the Barossa Valley) and beer (Young Henrys pale ale; Sydney Beer Co lager) as your host and star of the day, comedian and bearded drag queen Jackie Daniels, kicks off with a performance, serving you belly laughs and her first-class looks.

Then, allow your creative juices to flow during a Sip and Paint session with the Cork and Chroma team, who’ll guide you on how-to create your Inner Queen on canvas.

Of course, you’ll probably work up an appetite with all your painting and drinking, so Chin Chin will be offering a delicious line-up of their smash hits: think fresh kingfish tartare, crispy duck pancakes, an incredibly moreish butter chicken curry and more.

Tickets for Chin Chin’s Paint Your Inner Queen Sip and Paint event are $130 per person, all inclusive, and are on sale now.

Oh, and keep your eyes peeled for more dazzling events at Chin Chin.
