Time Out says

Located just off Rose Bay, Shark Island is a secluded harbour island that’s at the top of our list for New Year’s celebrations. On New Year’s Eve, it will be undergoing a tropical makeover, turning into a lush island party oasis.

Before the night kicks into full NYE gear, fuel-up with an easy and delicious hand-held dinner of party food like burgers, buffalo wings and hot chippies. Then as the fireworks roll in, Sydney’s DJ Recess and Luen will help you welcome 2020 with sets of house, disco, funk and soul music playing into the early morning under the palm trees.

The adult ticket price ($247.33) and tickets for kids aged 5-15 ($175.97) include ferry transfers, and little’uns under five can join in the fun for free.
