Been considering pursuing study in creative and performing arts? Looking for a change in career path or want to follow your stagecraft dreams? Seize the opportunity to learn from seasoned performing arts professionals and students with a public day of workshops, performances, discussion and tours at the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA).
The NIDA Open Day will give you a chance to take a peek into the day-to-day life on the Sydney campus and post-degree insights. There’ll be talks detailing what you can expect from the many courses on offer at NIDA, along with the chance to observe classes in acting, musical theatre, costume design, prop and object, design, singing and more. Nab a spot at the performers panel to hear from NIDA alumni like David Berry (Outlander) and Joel Jackson (Ms Fisher’s Modern Murder Mysteries).
Get a feel for life as a NIDA student by touring the institute and participating in improvisation and character-building activities. Some workshops are open to young people also for ages 12 and up, so you can bring the fam along. You’ll also get a chance to watch student productions of Metamorphosis, Perfect Stranger, Revolt. She Said Revolt and Eat Me.
All you need to do to attend is register here.
