Time Out says

Got plans for January 1? We’ve got the ticket for you. The Island – the world’s first floating beach club on Sydney Harbour – is hosting an epic summer-coded New Year’s Day party in collaboration with tequila lords, Patrón El Alto. Kicking off from 1pm – so you’ve got time to nurse your NYE hangover and hit up the beach – New Year’s Day on The Island will feature live performances from top Sydney DJs Double Touch, WHO AM ï, Julian Tobias, plus some surprise guests.

Ferry tickets to and from The Island are included, as is a top-notch beverage package with free-flowing sparkling, red, white and rosé wine, as well as spirits and mixers, from 1-4pm. Potts Point’s newcomer Pelicano will be taking care of the food on the day. The swish club and restaurant is by the same team behind Sydney’s award-winning Armorica, Franca and Parlar – so you can pretty much count on the food being delicious.

Party with your best friends, dance to banger after banger, knock back bubbles and tasty snacks, and enjoy a killer golden sunset on Sydney Harbour at New Year’s Day on The Island.

Guests will be picked up from the Opera House steps on water taxis just before 1pm, and will return around 8pm. The Island is known for throwing high-energy parties, and their New Year’s Day event is said to be one of the biggest of the year. Yeehaw.

Tickets for New Year’s Day on The Island are $450 per person. While not cheap, the price includes DJ performances, food, drinks and transport. Plus, if you can’t have a bit of fun and splash out on Jan 1, when can you?
